Here is the Words into Math graphic organizer we used to help with translating word problems.
Frequently I like to explain concepts on my students level in a silly way to help them remember how to solve sometimes difficult problems. At the end of the year I list a bunch of these on my board and ask which ones they can remember. They have so much fun thinking back over the silly ways they learned how to do math problems while also being amazed that this process made them so easy to remember. It's ok to be a little silly when learning if you ARE learning and remembering!
The orange button will explain a few of the Litzisms. See the Graphic Organizer page for more.
